Una de las principales atracciones de la Hacienda Kankirixche son los más de 4 kilómetros de senderos que corren atraves de la vasta vegetación de la zona. El Sendero Mariano, llamado así por su actual dueño Raymundo Concha Echazarreta, fue el primero en ser rescatado después de muchos años de estar en el abandono.
Antiguamente el ahora Sendero Mariano era el principal camino que conducía a los trabajadores de la hacienda hacia las plantaciones. Durante los años 70´s bajo la administración del Capitán Jaime Concha Escobedo, las principales actividades productivas de la hacienda eran el cultivo del henequen y la ganadería, usando el Sendero Mariano para el tránsito de animales y transporte de las pencas de henequen para su raspa.
El Sendero Mariano comienza a 50 metros de la parte posterior de la “Casa Principal” junto al “Despacho” y el “Casa de Máquinas”, terminando en el cenote “Chen holon“ llamado así por los lugareños, el cual está bajo exploración de grupos espeleológicos los cuales darán a conocer los hallazgos arqueológicos en su debido tiempo. Oratorios dedicados a las principales advocaciones marianas engalanan al sendero llamado así en honor a ellas.
Caminar por el sendero inevitablemente invita a la reflexión en una atmósfera de paz y tranquilidad, no importando el credo que se profese. La meditación y el acercamiento a ese ser superior será inevitable. Por momentos el silencio combinado con la naturaleza deja volar nuestra imaginación llevándonos a los tiempos de los antiguos mayas que una vez anduvieron por estos mismos caminos. La gran variedad de vida silvestre que habita en la zona , desde la pequeña hormiga, la belleza enigmática de pájaro Toh, la delicadeza de la mariposa, la traviesa ardilla o la timidez de Venado Cola Blanca tocaran nuestro corazón, plantando el deseo de respeto y conservación del medio ambiente.

El pasado 9 de Octubre del 2011 se llevo al cabo un Rosario Ecológico, la Virgen del Rosario patrona de la hacienda fue paseada por el Sendero Mariano. Las oraciones de agradecimiento llenaron la atmósfera de espiritualidad. Los espacios naturales de la Hacienda Kankirixche darán cabida a todas las religiones que así lo deseen, para asi tener un espacio ecuménico de oración, talleres, actividades, conferencias o simplemente compartir el amor por el Ser creador del universo.

One of the main attractions of the Hacienda Kankirixche is the 8 miles of trails that run through the lush vegetation of the area. The Marian Trail, named by the current owner Raymundo Concha Echazarreta, was the first one to be rescued after many years of being abandoned.
Formerly the now called Marian trail was the main road leading the workers of the Hacienda to the plantations. During the 70’s under the management of Captain Jaime Concha Escobedo, the main productive activities of the hacienda were the henequen cultivation and livestock, the trail was used for the transit of animals and to transport the leaves of henequen.
Mariano Trail begins 50 meters away from the back of the “Main House” next to “Office” and the “Powerhouse”, ending in the cenote “Chen holon” as called by the locals. The cenote is under exploration of speleological groups, which will release the archaeological findings in due course.
Walking down the path inevitably invites to reflection in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility, no matter the creed professed. The meditation and the approach with that higher being will be inevitably. At times the silence combined with the nature let our imagination to talk to us taking us back in the times of the ancient Maya, who once walked on these very same trails.
The great variety of wildlife that lives in the area, from the smallest ant, the enigmatic beauty of the Toh Bird, the delicacy of the butterfly, the mischievous squirrel or the shyness of the white Tail Deer touched our heart, planting the desire of respect and environmental conservation.

On October 9, 2011 a especial pray took place at the trails, the Virgin of the Rosary patron of the hacienda was paraded through the Marian Trail. Prays of gratitude filled the atmosphere with spirituality. The natural areas of the Hacienda Kankirixche will accommodate all religions who wish to have a praying space, workshops, activities, conferences or just share the love for the Being that created the universe.
